The WFTU on the side of Stockholm’s Metro Workers
The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses solidarity to the struggle of the Metro Workers in Stockholm, Sweden against the dismissals of their colleagues.
Utilizing the anti-labour laws of the Swedish Government, the MTR company was planning to dismiss 14 employees hired as “temporary staff” without labour rights in the spirit of flexibility, workload intensification, staff reduction and increase of profits.
The class-oriented trade union of the Metro Workers in Sweden has organized protests and rallies achieving the hiring of 9 of the employees. It continues the struggle for the 5 remaining.
